Dr Nadine is an experienced medical doctor, public health specialist, and community development leader with over 18 years of professional experience across Australia and internationally. As Co-founder of the Great Lakes Agency for Peace and Development (GLAPD), she has dedicated her career to supporting vulnerable communities — particularly refugees and culturally diverse families.

Dr Nadine has worked with major institutions including Westmead Children's Hospital, UNSW, STARTTS, the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), and UNHCR. She has led national health programs, supervised multidisciplinary teams, secured significant grant funding, and contributed to influential research on migrant health, family wellbeing, and community integration.

Her professional journey is grounded in both clinical expertise and deep cultural understanding. Through A1 Empathy, she brings her medical knowledge, leadership experience, and commitment to advocacy together — ensuring every participant feels heard, respected, and supported to live with dignity and independence.

A dedicated and compassionate professional with over a decade of experience supporting individuals through some of the most vulnerable stages of their lives. For more than 10 years, Olive has worked with elderly individuals living with dementia, delivering care with dignity and respect — and brings over 6 years supporting people living with disabilities, empowering them to live independently.

Olive holds a Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Interpreting, a Double Diploma in Community Services and Case Management, and a Diploma in Human Resource Management — combining cultural competence, person-centred care, and strong leadership in every role.

Her background spans the insurance industry — managing Income Protection, Total Permanent Disability (TPD), and Workers' Compensation claims — before progressing into a Technical Training and Coaching role where she trained and mentored case managers within Workers' Compensation insurance.

An outgoing and approachable leader, Olive is deeply passionate about helping others and making a positive impact in every space she serves. Her commitment is simple: to lead and serve with integrity, compassion, and excellence.
